Chair
Richard Kahn
Richard, CEO and Managing Director for the global Altro business, is a third-generation family member of the Altro Group.
With over 30 years in the business, he holds an Italian degree from Liverpool University and an MBA from City University, London.
Throughout Altro's 100-year history, Richard and his family have consistently supported charities. In 2019, he founded The Altro Foundation, allocating 2% of divisional profits yearly to fund global healthcare projects.

Sarah de los Rios
Sarah, Altro Limited's Commercial and Marketing Director, founded the Altro Foundation in 2019.
With 25 years of experience at Altro Ltd, she holds an MA in Spanish and Portuguese from Edinburgh University and earned her MBA in 2005.
As a trustee of The Altro Foundation, Sarah ensures that the profits allocated to the Foundation are optimised through inspirational partnerships with charitable organisations, focusing on improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable communities.

Anna Kydd
Anna is Director of the forward-thinking UK philanthropic organisation SHM Foundation.
She works to drive positive social change in mental health, education, livelihoods, and arts access.
As the co-founder of the global initiative Ember Mental Health, she identifies, mentors, and funds community-based mental health initiatives worldwide.
An innovator with extensive experience, Anna develops support models for those facing social isolation and stigma in Latin America, Africa, and the UK, utilising mobile phones.

Geordan Shannon
Geordan is a medical doctor and academic at the Institute for Global Health, University College London, and lead of the Stema health system innovation project.
Her work involves travelling off the beaten track to innovate solutions to some of the world’s most pressing health problems, including cervical cancer, violence against women, and non-communicable diseases.
She also co-founded Global Health Disrupted, an international grassroots movement that supports local leaders, partners with communities, and takes creative approaches to improving health around the world.
